Commune Council and Commune Government

With its 15 members the City Council is the supreme body of power of Kilingi-Nõmme.
After the elections in October 1999 Kaspar Kaugja was elected the new chairperson of the City Council.

Daily life of the town is administered by City Government lead by major Aivar Õun (telephone (+372 44) 90 135).
City Government supervises the work of the high school, kindergarten, music school, library, culture house, hospital, and open Internet site. A public services rendering enterprise is also in the ownership of the town.
